The 2025 Enclave will be the first Buick to offer available Super Cruise™ capability (subscription required), the first true hands-free driver-assistance technology for compatible highways.

Preproduction model shown throughout. Actual production model may vary. Anticipated arrival summer 2024.

Always pay attention while driving and when using Super Cruise. Do not use a hand-held device. See buick.ca/supercruise for compatible highways and more information. Requires active Super Cruise trial or paid subscription. Services are dependent on compatible wireless networks provided by third-party wireless service providers, working vehicle electrical systems, GPS signal and other factors outside GM control. Changes in technology and wireless networks may limit or prevent the operation of certain services. Services, connectivity, and capabilities are subject to terms and limitations and will vary by model, vehicle configuration, conditions, and geographical and technical restrictions. See onstar.ca for details.

How Super Cruise works

Hands-free convenience

With an attentive driver, and under proper conditions, available Super Cruise capability (subscription required) allows hands-free driving on compatible highways. Even changing lanes is hands-free thanks to Lane Change on Demand and Automatic Lane Change.

Innovative technology

Available Super Cruise capability (subscription required) technology works with Adaptive Cruise Control, which helps you automatically maintain a selected following gap from the vehicle ahead.

Comfortable commutes

Available Super Cruise capability (subscription required) functions with OnStar® and uses real-time cameras, sensors, GPS and LiDAR map data to help detect curves, helping make long drives and commutes on compatible roads more comfortable.

Safety or driver-assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings, and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather, and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle Owner’s Manual for more important feature limitations and information.

What you'll need to use Super Cruise

Available Super Cruise functionality is enabled by a data connection for real-time, precise positioning and periodic Super Cruise map updates. In order to operate Super Cruise, you must have an active and eligible OnStar® Super Cruise plan. Specific settings for certain features must be followed. Additional considerations include road conditions and weather. Click below for important details on exactly what you need to use Super Cruise.

OnStar®

Available Super Cruise functionality is enabled by a data connection for real-time, precise positioning and periodic Super Cruise map updates. In order to operate Super Cruise, you must have an active and eligible OnStar Super Cruise trial or paid subscription. Super Cruise vehicles are also connected to OnStar Emergency Services, so Emergency-Certified OnStar Advisors can assist drivers should they become non-responsive while Super Cruise is active. The 2025 Enclave will include 1 month of connectivity to support functionality, after which an OnStar Super Cruise paid subscription must be purchased.

Driver-Assistance and safety features

The following features in your vehicle must be activated:
• Adaptive Cruise Control is: ON
The following feature in your vehicle must be deactivated:
• Teen Driver is: OFF

Driving considerations

Make sure that:
• The GPS detects that the vehicle is on a compatible highway
• Lane markings are clearly visible (lane markings may be obscured, for example, by glare or poor weather conditions)
• Camera and radar sensors are not covered, obstructed or damaged
• Driver Attention Assist detects that the driver's head and eyes are directed toward the road

How to use Super Cruise

Step 1

In order to use Super Cruise, ensure Adaptive Cruise Control is turned on. The Adaptive Cruise Control symbol will illuminate in white on the Driver Information Center. If Adaptive Cruise Control is already set, the symbol will be green with a speed shown.

Step 2

When Super Cruise detects you are on a compatible highway, paying sufficient attention and all other driving conditions are met (lane markings visible, GPS available, no system faults, etc.), a white Super Cruise symbol will display on the instrument cluster.

Step 3

When it is safe to do so, press the Super Cruise button on the steering wheel to engage Super Cruise. When the symbol and steering-wheel light bar illuminate in green, you may remove your hands from the steering wheel. Do not remove your hands from the steering wheel unless the light bar is green, which indicates that Super Cruise is steering the vehicle. To disengage Super Cruise, press the Super Cruise button again or press the brake pedal.

Step 4

On Buick models equipped with Super Cruise, if the Automatic Lane Change capability is enabled in the vehicle’s Settings menu, available Super Cruise may initiate a lane change under the following conditions:

• To use the left lane to pass a slower moving vehicle ahead and a subsequent lane change to the right to return to your original lane
• The Super Cruise System may initiate a lane change to the left or right when the current lane is ending ahead or to provide space for vehicles merging from an ending lane
• To the left or the right lane when a slower moving vehicle is detected in the adjacent ending lane to provide space for the merging vehicle

A message appears on the Driver Information centre during the lane change to provide more information on the status of the lane change. To cancel a Super Cruise lane change, move the turn signal lever or manually take over the steering wheel at any time.
For Lane Change on Demand, when the driver activates the turn signal, the system will look for an acceptable opening in the indicated lane and alert other vehicles that a lane change is imminent. If the indicated lane is determined to be open, the vehicle will merge into the desired lane. Or, if the desired lane is unavailable, the system will notify the driver that merging must be manually completed. The system will display messages, such as “looking for an opening” or “changing lanes,” to keep the driver informed.

Learning the alert system

Drivers must pay attention to the road at all times. Our Driver Attention Assist with proprietary head pose and eye gaze software helps make sure your eyes are on the road, and it alerts you when you need to pay more attention or take back control.

First Alert

First Alert

If the system detects that you may not be paying attention to the road ahead, the steering-wheel light bar flashes green to prompt you to return your attention to the road.

Second Alert

Second Alert

If the system determines a continued lack of attention to the road ahead, the steering-wheel light bar flashes red to notify you to look at the road and steer the vehicle by firmly taking control of the steering wheel. Also, beeps will sound or the Safety Alert Seat, if equipped, will vibrate.

Third Alert

Third Alert

If the steering-wheel light bar flashes red for too long, a voice prompt will be heard. You should take over steering immediately; otherwise, the vehicle will slow in your lane of travel and eventually brake to a stop, as well as prompt an Emergency-Certified OnStar Advisor to call into the vehicle to check on you. Super Cruise and Adaptive Cruise Control will disengage.

Messaging

What is Super Cruise?

Available Super Cruise capability (subscription required) is the first true hands-free driver-assistance technology for compatible highways. It uses cameras, sensors, GPS data, and LiDAR-scanned map data, and steers to maintain the vehicle’s position in a lane. It works with Adaptive Cruise Control, which helps you automatically maintain a selected following gap from the vehicle ahead. On select vehicles, Super Cruise can also make lane changes. Do I still need to pay attention?

Do I still need to pay attention?

Yes! You should always be ready to take control of the steering or brakes while using available Super Cruise capability (subscription required). To help ensure you’re staying focused on the road, a Driver Attention camera located atop the steering column monitors driver head and eye position to estimate driver attention to the road. If the system detects you may not be paying enough attention, the steering-wheel light bar flashes green. If you continue to remain inattentive, or if you need to take control of the vehicle immediately, the bar will flash red.

In the case of an unresponsive driver, after the first two levels of alerts, a voice prompt will be heard and the vehicle will slow to a complete stop with its hazard lights activated.
