HANDS-FREE PROGRAMMABLE POWER LIFTGATE

To make loading cargo more convenient, the hands-free programmable power liftgate can be activated simply by kicking your foot over the projected GMC logo, underneath the left-hand side of the rear bumper.

KEYLESS OPEN AND START

When walking toward the vehicle with the key fob in hand or in your purse or pocket, you can unlock all four doors and start the vehicle with the push of a button. When you leave the vehicle with the key fob, it automatically locks within several seconds of the last door being closed.

TRACTION SELECT SYSTEM

The Traction Select System featured in Acadia gives added confidence to the driver by allowing them to switch among different modes for different road conditions.

ACTIVE TORQUE CONTROL AWD SYSTEM

Found standard in the AT4, the Active Torque Control AWD system improves traction on low traction surfaces by sending torque not only from the front to the back of the vehicle, but from side to side in the rear of the vehicle.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL

Hill Descent Control automatically uses antilock braking for smooth and controlled hill descent in rough terrain without the driver having to engage the brake pedal. Standard on AT4.

HILL START ASSIST

Hill Start Assist helps momentarily hold the brakes under certain conditions while the driver shifts their foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator, helping prevent movement during the transition. Standard on AT4.

ADAPTIVE RIDE CONTROL

Adaptive Ride Control, available on Acadia Denali, uses a Continuous Damping Control Suspension system to adjust shock absorber damping forces every 2 milliseconds. It adjusts to the road surface to deliver a smooth and comfortable ride.






HITCH GUIDANCE WITH HITCH VIEW

Available Hitch Guidance with Hitch View displays a guideline on the Rear Vision Camera view when you’re in Reverse to help line up your hitch to your trailer and offers a close-up Hitch View. When driving, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View allows you to briefly check your trailer using the Rear Vision Camera view.

Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking.

Front Pedestrian Braking can help drivers avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a pedestrian it detects directly ahead of you. It provides pedestrian alerts and can even automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking. The system works at speeds below 80 km/h during the daytime. It has limited nighttime and low visibility performance.

IntelliBeam - Auto High Beams

IntelliBeam - Auto High Beams

When driving conditions are dark, the IntelliBeam® ─ Auto High Beams can automatically turn the vehicle’s high-beam headlamps on and off according to surrounding traffic conditions.

Rear Park Assist

Rear Park Assist

Rear Park Assist can provide distance alerts to nearby detected objects behind your vehicle to help you park and avoid collisions at low speeds when you're in Reverse. Available on Denali only.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning uses a brief, gentle steering wheel turn to alert you when you may be unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines, so you can steer to stay safely in your lane. If needed, you may receive additional Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if you’re using your turn signal or it detects you may be intentionally leaving your lane.

FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR

Following Distance Indicator displays the gap time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you’re following. This can help you decide if you’re following much too closely.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT

Forward Collision Alert can warn you if it detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you’re following so you can quickly take action. It can also provide a tailgating alert if you’re following a vehicle much too closely.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Available Adaptive Cruise Control enhances regular Cruise Control by allowing the vehicle to automatically follow a detected vehicle ahead at a following gap, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.




LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT

Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert can provide side-mirror visual alerts when a detected moving vehicle is quickly approaching or is in your side blind zone. It can help you avoid lane change collisions.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

It can warn you of detected left or right cross traffic behind your vehicle when in Reverse.

The available High Definition Surround Vision uses multiple cameras to display a digital overhead image of the area around your vehicle along with Rear Vision Camera or front views. It works at low speeds and may help you park and avoid nearby objects. You can select additional views on your camera display.
